Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Social Worker position is available within a K-12 school setting in Detroit, MI. This contract role offers the opportunity to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral development across the K-12 spectrum, with the exact caseload to be determined. Candidates must possess a valid school social worker certification to qualify.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling services to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop supportive strategies and interventions
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized service plans to promote student well-being
• Assist with crisis intervention and referral to community resources when necessary
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all applicable policies and confidentiality requirements
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to positive school climate initiatives

Qualifications:

• Valid school social worker certification required
• Experience working with students in grades K-12 preferred
• Strong knowledge of social-emotional development and intervention techniques
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and families
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads and prioritize responsibilities effectively
